Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is an Hollywood writer and actress Her talent has gained her recognition and critical acclaim. Sagittarius, she was born in North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's one of the three children of Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a parachutist. She's English and Scottish. Because of her father's work, the Moore family moved a lot and she had to work hard to make friendships or maintain ones. Moore's family relocated from the United States to Germany and she went to Frankfurt American High School, where her first acting roles included in productions. Her education continued at Boston University where she graduated in 1983, with a B.F.A. After graduating, Moore moved to New York, where she began her career in off-Broadway theater. Her career in theater began with her debut in New York with Off-Broadway Theater after graduating. In an episode of The Edge of Night in 1985, Moore made her debut appearance on screen. In 1986, she was given the dual role of Sabrina Hughes, and Frannie Hughes for As the World Turns. This role gave her the opportunity to break through and brought her to success. The show aired between 1988 and 1990, and was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990, she began her film debut with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie which was later criticized as a terrible low-budget film. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), each Robert Altman productions, were her debut films. Her role in critically acclaimed Short Cuts (1993) earned her several nominations. Moore was first cast in the role of a leading lady in Safe (1996). Steven Spielberg's choice to cast Moore as the lead in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which was one of the most successful films of 1997, marked a major change in her career. She was awarded an SAG nomination in 1999 for the role she played in Magnolia, a critically acclaimed film. The Hours starred Moore in 2002, and was nominated for the nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. Moore has also been seen in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) and many other films. She was also in Non-Stop (2014). Moore is a veteran of countless movies and television series. Recently, she was featured as the lead in When You Finish Saving The World (2022). The actress has established herself in Hollywood as well as being an author of children's books. Her first novel was published Freckleface Strawberry (2007) and was a N.Y.T. bestseller. This best-seller was turned into a movie, a series, and even a musical. The book she wrote in 2013 titled My Mom Is A Foreigner was also a best-seller. Moore's personal life has been revealed as she is a successful author and actress. She split from John Robin in 1995. Moore has two children along with Bart Freundlich whom she later married in 2003. Moore's life revolves around her families, work and friends.
